For ravens, mobbing is equally a method to shield them selves from big predators and produce down massive prey. When ravens hunt in flocks, they go just after larger animals and attack much more aggressively. They are associated with security in fight, so people today would sometimes pray into the hawk for defense ahead of a battle.  O
